There will be a Christ centered sermon designed to teach and uplift
all who are present. You are urged to take notes and check what you
hear against what your Bible says. There is never any attempt to
teach anything profound or mysterious, just simple Bible truths.
Most sermons are about
30 minutes, in length.
Invitation
“…baptism doth also
now
save us…”
At the close of the sermon those who wish to become Christians are
invited to make this known by coming
to the front of the assembly.
This time is also an opportunity for those in need of prayer,
to make their wishes known. There will be no singling out of
visitors or anyone present and no one will be asked to raise their
hand or stand. No one will go about the audience urging people to
come forward. Neither the worship, nor the invitation, is designed
to embarrass, but rather to teach.
Communion
“…the disciples came together to break bread…”
If you visit with us on any Sunday,
during the worship service, the Lord’s Supper or Communion will be
served by men of the congregation. The New Testament teaches that
Christians are to do this upon the first day of the week.
(Acts 20:7).
Offering
”…let every one of you lay by him in store…”
A contribution will be taken, because the church is commanded to do
this on the first day of the week
(1Cor. 16:2). As our guest
you are not asked or expected to give. Do not feel embarrassed to
pass the container to your neighbor or men serving.
Teachers/classes
“…he began to teach them many things…”
We have classes for all ages,
with Christian teachers and helpers offering a wide variety of
lessons.
Our classes range in
ages from cradle roll (infants) to our
Senior Members.
If you are interested in learning more about the Bible
and the Lord’s Church, we offer
correspondence courses, and
individual bible studies.
Just ask one of the members and we will see that you get started
immediately.
